Display Unformatted Tweet – api 1.1

This is actually a plugin.  You must first set up a twitter app from https://dev.twitter.com/apps by logging in and creating a new application.  Get the 4 required keys and tokens once your app has been created (you will have to also use OAuth).  Then, open the functions.php file in this plugin, and enter your information.

Use the template tag  <?php get_tweet(); ?>  to display your tweet(s) in a template file.  Or, create a shortcode in the function for use in posts and pages… whatever.

Download the plugin below and either upload to your /plugins directory via FTP or install it through the WordPress dashboard.

Dave focuses in WordPress UI Design and WordPress Plugin Development (some have labelled him a fanatic) but has hands in many other projects, including photography and music. He's never far from a computer... or an iPad (for testing purposes, of course). Don't even try to bother him during Premier League games, though... he's cheering way too loudly for a team destined to play second fiddle. Dave currently teaches courses in code and philosophy at California State University, Long Beach (well... from home for the foreseeable future) alongside his small business at dauid.us. But, every now and then, he steps outside to protest or give the dog a car ride.
